SSL is an abbreviation for Secured Socket Layer. SSL technology secretly encodes (or encrypts) information as it is being sent over the Internet between your computer and Synchrony Bank's systems. This encryption technology is designed to ensure that account information travels securely over the Internet and remains confidential.

When you have finished using a secure area of the credit site, make sure you log out and then close/exit the Internet browser software (e.g., Internet Explorer, AOL). This will decrease the possibility of anyone viewing confidential account information. |
